VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 6, 2001--Columbia River Resources Inc. (CRVV- Pinksheets) is very pleased to announce the
appointment of Mr. Karl Glackmeyer, P.Eng to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Glackmeyer is a graduate of Laval University in Quebec City, Quebec Canada with a degree in Geological Engineering. Mr. Glackmeyer has extensive technical
and administrative experience in the mining industry throughout Canada, United States of America and Africa.

Mr. Glackmeyer is currently the President of Fairstar Explorations Inc. a Toronto Stock Exchange listed company and is the founding president of the Quebec
Prospectors Association. He is also a member of the Prospector Association of Canada; a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec; and the Canadian Institute
of Mining and Metallurgy.
