Sneddon Deep Gas Well Cased,

Completion Program
Underway To Establish Reserves and Production Rates

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Santa Catalina Mining Corp. (the ``Company'') is pleased to announce that the Sneddon 9-33-80-10W6 deep gas test has been cased as a potential
gas well. During drilling, a hot wire gas detector indicated the presence of gas in several zones and initial log analysis has confirmed several prospective gas targets both in the main
Kiskatinaw formation and in uphole horizons. Drill stem tests were attempted over some of these zones, but due to the pressures and the nature of the reservoirs, all tests resulted in tool
failures (packers failed). Regardless of the mechanical difficulties of the test tool, the primary target horizon during the first 2 minutes of the open valve test resulted in gas to surface
immediately, confirming the resistivity log response is indicating a gas bearing reservoir. It should be noted that the log response in these potential horizons is similar or better then in several
offsetting producing gas wells in the area.

A completion program will now be initiated in the various potential gas sands to establish production rates and reserves associated with each zone. Additional locations will be determined
based on results to drill the offsetting land and to drill additional shallow wells to exploit the uphole zones.
