Albert, Do not hold your breath waiting for the old line managements of CPQ and IBM to adopt the Dell model. They remind me of the speed with which the sov block adopted capitalism after WW2....ie they will sacrifice thousands of their workers on the idol of their old boy networks and will never change as long as they breath. Both IBM and CPQ will have to have a severe humbling before this happens. IBM will be able to stave this off for longer due to their other businesses that will provide the cash to keep filling the rathole. CPQ will succumb far sooner than this. Still, Dell will also suffer the death of 10,000 SD shops, so they will not have it all their own way. Bill
