Ramsey, Yes, you bring some very interesting insights on HWP. It can't hurt to know a lot about the company you're shorting. The way you intepreted their statements from today makes complete rational sense to me. It also fits into the pattern with SUNW's statements which were couched differently, but had the same import, from last week. And the realization across tech that the visibility isn't necessarily improving as would be required in order to bring us a fairy-tale, near-immediate Q3 recovery from some serious economic weakness, especially in tech-land. Here in Silicon Valley, things are in the toilet, there is no disputing that. I've heard that you can even get a call back from Wilson-Sonsini nowadays! The freeways are much quieter... and all sorts of service providers, consultants, etc. are becoming downright humble again, up & down the peninsula.

Strangely, I've noticed that when a Company spits out this kind of statement when there is clearly a big message between the lines -- like, an elephant-sized message -- the media often misses it! Go figure. Anyway the big boys won't and I hope you will stop by the thread frequently and share your insights, most interesting.
