Gustave, in my opinion, the Arabs have lost the right to control east Jerusalem when they barred (in violation of the 1949 armistice agreement) free access to the holy places and to Mount Scopius (the pre war Hebrew University). They have shown that when they control the place free access is denied, Israel showed that when it controls the place free access is maintained. People and nations should be held responsible for their actions, the Arabs on that issues simply screwed up. Free access through the Suez Canal was granted in the same 1949 armistice Agreement, and when it was denied in early 1956, it resulted in another war. It is nice to hear all these foul play cries, but why should the Israeli believe that this time it will be different?
