Translating i-mode to wap and back to i-mode??
Where do these guys get there ideas??
And then at the end they quote:
"McNulty believes there is a high probability that eventually i-mode and WAP will be merged to form a new standard, "probably [based on] XML."
Maybe the reporters have no experience in following and reporting on standardization processes, especially not building global ones??
Another smart McNulty quote is the one on public transportation, but some more on languages, even Indian dialects, could have been added.

Btw, in that 45 seconds WAP delay quoted earlier I can send 10 SMS messages back and forth between Finland and Africa, receipt that they are delivered to the phone, in the pocket, in Africa. (takes 4-5 seconds from send to received receipt, locally in Finland about 1-2 seconds)
Maybe those 45 to 2 minute services do the same thing, back and forth to Africa 10 times?? Or practicing oral translation of WAP commands to i-mode commands and back again??
For WAP I obviously haven't needed to use SMS messages in a long time, a new page appears in 1-2 seconds |
