Don - question for you

There was a doji that formed yesterday on the SOX.
Dojis can be used to signal an upcoming reversal.
My question to you is: My understanding of Dojis is
that they are only a good reversal signal if they are formed
at the top/bottom of a trend. Not in the middle of a trend
or in a range bound market. Is this correct?

TIA
M
