The final piece of the puzzle for May.... radioshackcorporation.com RadioShack reported that wireless units were up mid-teens YoY for the month of May. The Communication segment of the business had low double digit gains in revenue....however, wireless (which makes up most of the Communication division) significantly outperformed the rest of the Communication division (the rest was flat). The trends in wireless had become more encouraging and were expected to continue into the month of June. One caveat to this great news (and it is great)....RadioShack launched their first sales of Verizon during the month of May. So the comparisions might be a little skewed....and some of the increase in sales might be cannibalization of sales that would otherwise have gone to other Verizon outlets. However, I think that when you combine the above results with the results out of Japan and Korea....it sets Qualcomm up for a great quarter (either this one or the next). Slacker
