09:56 ET EMCORE (EMKR) 30.13 +0.43: After a weak opening, stock vaults higher; catalyst appears to be a pre-open call by Wit SoundView, which says that on its recent trip to Taiwan, Wit's contacts at the module assembly houses in Taiwan were able to confirm that EMKR has started shipping production units of their fiber optic parallel array modules to several customers; Wit says this is a major milestone for this product line; reiterates BUY and $52 target. 09:55 ET Intel (INTC) 30.56 +0.74 (+2.5%): -- Update -- Technical -- Highlighted yesterday as it tested an intermediate term trendline (Jan/May highs at 30.3 today). While it faltered and failed to hold above on a closing basis, it is attempting to build value above again. A sustained breach leaves the door open for a retest of the recovery high at 32.57.
