Jozef:

"No question that today, AMD is in good shape with the products that are offered. But with questionable execution of the product in the pipeline, and horrendous execution of the AMD sales division, the future is less bright. Today, AMD has the chips that sell themselves (like the 80s Honda commercial used to say), but only up to a limit, so the non-existence of the sales/marketing at AMD can be hidden under the rug.

I think AMD desperately needs to make some changes. If they couldn't sell Thunderbird with 266 MHz FSB, AMD 760 chipset and PC2100 DDR starting Q1 to corporate market, these people will never sell anything."

You are missing the big picture...AMD is outperforming in a relative sense any of its competitors and by a wide margin...No other $4.5 billion company can lay claim to increasing revenues in Y2001 and no other company is introducing revolutionary new product with such significant price/performance advantages as is AMD...AMD is far stronger today both financially and in product lineup than they were one year ago...Just aren't any of its competitors who can make and support such a claim!!!
