this is follow up on the wait for zonealarm support to respond to my email request for help when i couldn't get za and norton personal firewall to load together on win95 without blue screens of death....

my request for help was sent out on 5/26 and a reply received on 6/5.... 10 days later. sure they're busy (what with the latest version release), and sure they're free for individual users. so i'm not really complaining so much as i am reporting.

rather than wait for za, i was able to figure out a fix here on our thread in a matter of a couple of days. i thought i was waiting for their reply, but instead, i kept playing with things until eventually your suggestion worked.

btw, za's advice was a generic form response (it included instructions for win95, win98 and win2000) suggesting that i uninstall and then reinstall their product.

i'd be happy to share my findings with them, but since they took so long and answered so broadly (responding to none of the specifics in my email), i'm not too motivated to do so. seems like it would be a waste of my time, and they probably wouldn't care anyway.

i just dig that i got it running right and in a timely manner with the help of this thread!
