TraderAlan....FWIW......
While the intraday point swings a year to two years ago was incredible, so was the volatility. While I have not been trading nearly as long as you have, I feel its been an easier (maybe "not as risky would be a better term) market to trade. I don't get stopped out nearly as often, and I prefer the narrow trading range we have seen in the last two months as it seems a bit more predictable. No doubt I prefer an up trending market, but if that will bring greater volatility (by bringing all the retail "day traders" back in), I'll settle for what we have now.
I would rather bat for average than look for home runs and strike out a lot....just my opinion.
