At the moment I am content to agree to disagree on what the death penalty constitutes. You seem solid in your position and that is a good thing. We would all be likely to follow a position that answered the question definitively on both sides.

If you read my comments on the death penalty you know that I am adamantly against using it if the justification is societal retribution of any kind. I am surprised to see that, not see even one single person is buying into the justifications I did give. It appears that in general we as a society are taking the position that we either have the right to exact retribution or we don't. Given those limited choices, I am falling into your camp.

Then what? If you or we can answer this question, all of us would be able to move on IMO.
