I'm rather surprised that AOL isn't looking for something to guarantee the payment due in 2003. Sure, HOMS guaranteed the stock price of $68+ by stating they'd make up the difference in cash, but what guarantee does AOL have that HOMS will have the cash?

With the insiders dumping this stock at such a pace, printing the stock to use as currency, and with the heavy losses continuing, AOL would be crazy to just ignore the evidence and hope for the best come 2003.
