Gottfried,
Interesting about NG re: locking in rates. Yes, we're going to have to admit it, E&P's have had their day in the sun, back to the doghouse for another 3 years.
Was reading Hays lately, he thinks the markets will be bullish for about 6 to 8 weeks based on his model. Beyond which, it's into the tank for some new lows. Without the energy meal ticket, I'm not really sure how to invest here, so I've got a large position in SPY. If the market moves up, I'm along for the ride. If downward, then I know I will at least maintain my spread on the SP500. When obvious buying opps present themselves, I will sell the SPY and jump on the downtrodden.
By the way, who are all the E&P "permabulls" that "they" keep referring to? Does anyone of our HTP regulars even own an E&P?? I know there are one or two LOILY owners, but I think that is it. To find "permabulls", the Yahoo VPI thread would probably be a good start.
