Peter, I don't pretend to understand the specifics of those technical papers. My point with the one on IL-1b and periodontal disease is that there is "science" behind the CIST concept of an IL-1b test kit for use in a dentist's office. A few other points: it's a big market since ~25% or so adult Americans have periodontal disease, (2) the CIST product seems to fill an unmet need based on current methods to evaluate periodontal disease, and (3) as Rick mentioned, recent research which made the airwaves ties periodontal disease to other diseases including heart disease. I'll see if I can find the news article tomorrow. In my other posts (on PAI-2), I just wanted to make the point that a number of research organizations have identified very interesting potential applications for PAI-2 based therapeutics and diagnostics. Even if royalty percentage is low from Biotech Australia, there's the possibility of substantial income from PAI-2 therapeutics. Cheers! Rudy
