John, I am kind of a tech junky.

I have seven computers, three scanners, a HP laser jet, two ink jets, a Palm 7, cable modem and three Sprint Web Phones.

Most of the time when I have upgraded, I save the older units for my wife and children. They are using many of the above.

On a daily bases I use two computer connected to a cable modem, one scanner, one HP 722 ink jet, a Palm 7 and the Sprint Web Phone.

I intended for the Cable Modemed computers a Sony Vio 700mz and a Compaq Presario 600mz to be used as my primary Web Browser. The Sprint Phone came next but initially it only had a limited number of trading sites. So I bought the Palm next to access TD Waterhouse.

The Palm experience using their Web server has been Bad at best. I loose connections and wait endlessly for trade confirmations.

I have found that the Sprint Phone and their connectivity is ten times better than Palm. Faster too than my computer using the cable modem during the high traffic time (12:30 pm and 1:00pm Santa Clara time), "market close". I found this delay was mostly TDW and not the Web itself nor my cable modem.

So, in short, you may want to see what Sprint has done with their services plans and products. The three Sprint phone I have now, mine, the wife and one for the two children when they are out for awhile. All have Web service and free long distance for $30 bucks a month.

The newest Sharp color Sprint phone looks even better than my current Samsung unit, which I bought recently.

So if you are looking for good conductivity and a reasonable entry price, check out the services from Sprint, a phone for $199 and $30.00 a month, and they have a calendar built in " too ".

A good way to connect with minimum cost.

I have no other connections / business / stock with Sprint nor Samsung other than what I have mentioned above.

Just a thought.

Stan
