Tenchu, No point in doing the 'build it...come, it is a product with a developed spot(by Intel) and they needed to build to fit that spot. It is true their frame slipped, but better slipped frame than bad parts shipped, Intel has done that and does it as we speak.
AMD is trying to never ship a bad part again.
In time AMD will have the lead time to do this planned design win strategy...maybe.

Intel may not have that much time either as the rate of change has accelerated since AMD made good capable parts and that has forced Intel to truncate their internal test and review procedures. (how else would they have made the errors they have made in the past 2 years, they took the time to get it right before)
