SNC-Lavalin Acquires Titan Projects Ltd.

CALGARY, ALBERTA--JUNE 8, 2001 - 10:03 EDT
SNC-Lavalin Inc. announced today that it has
completed the acquisition of Titan Projects Ltd. of Calgary,
Alberta.

"This acquisition augments our pursuit of project opportunities in
the growing fields of gas processing and heavy oil production
utilizing SAGD technique, where Titan is a recognized world
leader, and perfectly complements our extensive expertise in the
oil and gas industry. It also further reinforces our position as
a major EPC company in the spheres of heavy and conventional oil
production, oil refining, pipelines and gathering systems and
offshore production platforms and sub sea pipelines" said Krish
Krishnamoorthy, Executive Vice-President, Member of the Office of
the President of SNC-Lavalin.

Titan, operating as a business unit within SNC-Lavalin, will
continue to provide clients with its world class niche expertise,
as well as undertake larger projects.
