New Low Voltage SFF Athlons from AMD

watch.impress.co.jp

Another very interesting piece of info from PC Watch Japan: AMD will introduce SFF (Slim Form Factor) Athlons soon. They plan to offer both Thunderbird/Spitfire and Palomino/Morgan based cores. This is the corresponding table:

Release date Processor Voltage

Q2 Thunderbird 1.1 GHz 1.4V
Q2 Duron 900 1.4V
Q3 Palomino 1.1 GHz 1.5V
Q3 Morgan 1 GHz 1.5V
Q4 Palomino 1.3 GHz 1.5V
Q4 Morgan 1.1 GHz 1.5V

The Thermal Design Power for all processors is 35W. AMD wants to offer OEMs a new solution with these SFF processors for compact PC solutions (e.g. integrated PC and TFT display).
