Why the type of rifle used makes a difference is beyond me.. They both are chambered for the same .223 round, and all that that comment displays is that these soldiers, who use both types of weapons, are obviously having a conflict in recollection. That's not unusual.

But regardless of whether this individual acted alone, or had an accomplish is really unimportant in the general scheme.

Because what is striking to me is that the Israelis are INVESTIGATING the case, which is far more than we've yet seen the Palestinians do regarding those reservists who were murdered by a crazed mob of Palestinians bent upon lynching Israeli soldiers.

Can you imagine what the outcry would be if Israelis mobbed an Israeli police station in order to brutally lynch a Palestinan security policeman who had sought shelter there??

But Arafat, and those who head PA security, just let's it go and justifies it as an "act of war" against Israel.

Yep... the difference is that the Israelis are at least displaying repugnance at the action of this Jewish settler and taking some steps against him. Which is far more than anyone can ever expect from the Palestinian Authority regarding atrocities against Jews.

And furthermore, there may be some Israeli officials who actually are forced to resign over this issue.

Can you ever imagine a Palestinian official resigning over the lynching of those UNARMED Israeli reservists??

Hardly...
