Chrar-e-Sharief, one of Kashmir's holiest shrines, lies in Badgam district, 17 miles west of Srinagar. Thousands of Muslims attended special prayers on Friday following Id-E-Milad, the anniversary of Prophet Mohammad's birth at holy shrines and mosques across the restive region. The Id-E-Milad was celebrated in Kashmir, India's only Muslim-majority state, on Tuesday. No militant group has claimed responsibility for the grenade attack.<< dailynews.yahoo.com
