Raymond, go for it. Just make sure you have critical files backed up and you have a restore CD for yor PC. Also have a plan how to reinstall programs you added since the PC was new.

I sometimes tweak a relative's PC and am always amazed how fast it boots: she does not have Norton System Works and has no AV program. In addition, she uses Yahoo e-mail which does an AV check on e-mail on the web. She uses the Windows disk defragmenter [which I loathe because it takes forever].

Just don't tell mr mark I said this. :)
