hi solon welcome to the thread. if you've been reading along, perhaps you've noticed that some of what you have asked about is being discussed. certainly it all has been discussed before, so doing a 'this subject only' search for certain keywords like memory or resources will probably produce some interesting posts. but i don't mean to send you off to the archives! <g3> please let us know how old your computer is?... what operating system you are running?... what, if any, system maintenance you perform?... whether or not you have any software tools like norton utilities loaded on your machine?... how much memory you have? those helpful facts should get us off and running in your behalf. possibly you need to look for a new driver for your video card. have you ever done that? if not, no prob, we can help. it's good for everyone that you have defined your skill level for us. feel free at any time to ask for more in-depth explanations if something has not be adequately covered. let us know these few facts and anything else you care to toss in, and i'm sure we can offer some ideas :) mark
