Why would 'IT' need 'US' except maybe in the zoo as another dead end branch on the evolutionary tree ;o) Two paths lay ahead. One is your prediction and the other is similar but different in that these 'developments' are used to directly augment human thinking ability, (like the Borg in Star Trek). Both are fraught with dangers as in case 1 we are very soon redundant while in the other we risk individuality and privacy. While both unpalatable I'll take 2 please.
