"Moon Theory 101 - OR - When Will The Cow Jump Over It?"
In "Hints And Helps For Daytraders", the ongoing MANUAL PROJECT by Dr. Russell Lockhart - Ral makes observations about significant market structure lows and significant market structure highs, as to how they relate to the phases of the moon. Ok I know, I know...BUT as soon as you stop laughing your ass off, go and do what I did. Go back several years and plot the beginning of major rally's and the beginning of major selloff's. Two valid and recent examples come to mind. The Nasdaq rally that began with a final low on October 18th, 1999 happened on a FULL MOON. We closed at 2689.15 that day. This was the foreshadowing of a run that took us to March 6, 2000 the date of a NEW MOON at a close of 4904.85. A whopping +2300 points! (I should have bought OEX calls back in October) We had one, and only one up session after that, before the bleeding started.
The first time I read that I had tears my eyes. By the way, I traded at two sites where "Ral" was a member for over a year. He would quote stochastics figures carried over to no less than 8 decimals. You might be interested to know that Ral works for another site also:
undergroundtrader.com
That site was founded by Jea Yu, who went by the nick "Inertia" at DTO in 1998. He front-ran members of that site. Every day he would discuss his "plays" as a member of the site. Then, about 5 times daily, he would simply toss out symbols without any commentary whatsoever. Of course traders would look them up and the unwary would buy. Well, after a while traders caught on: every symbol he posted had exactly 1,000 shares listed for sale on the inside ISLD ask. He would post, those who trusted him would buy, and, after no further commentary, his faithful would panic, he would quietly cover into their panic selling. Nice work if you can get it - and utterly dishonest. This site has deals with Cyber/Schwab going back to early 1999. By the ay teh press release covering that agreement has been erased from the Net, but you can find it here:

KingCAMBO, which claims 1,455 subscribers, has deals with both MB Trading/Terra Nova and Cyber-corp./Schwab. Last Fall they actually had no less than 4 MBT employees installed as moderators. This was while they were engaged in an hours-long seminar boasting of the amazing efficacy of scalping 60-80 trades a day. SIXTY TO EIGHTY. Do that every month and into the pockets of MBT and KingCAMBO goes a round $35,000.00 from one trader alone.
Last November, KingCAMBO counsel threatened me with legal action if I did not retract my statements about them, giving me a December 6 deadline. I called them to politely but unequivocally refuse. Then they started yelling like madmen down the line. I haven't heard from them since.
