Hello All...

I recently made a purchase of SDT.to.. I intend to keep it for the long term. While O&G reits are returning a good %'age, With the money in that account I don't want to moving it around just to catch good returns on what is 'in'. They are like a mutual fund with many reits across many areas... so I don't have to worry.

I have noticed that there are other types of trust funds... something called a declining asset trust. Does anyone know how those trusts work and how a person can figure out what returns are on those types of trusts. I look at the graphs for those funds and they look like a staircase, a steep drop each time the trust distributes (probably because some of the original value of the assets are returned also??). As a result of this, the returns on those trusts are misleadingly high. How does one know how much they are making on this type of trust?

Thanks
