in my mail was my confirmation. i use a deep discount broker. but, it ain't cheap for bonds. also this bond u can't find anywhere.
also he told me it didn't trade flat, but led me to believe there was very little interest. well, the bonds were 11, the commission was 3 1/2 % and the interest was almost 40%. my cost isn't 11 but 15.575.
now, if i collect interest on 8/1/01 my cost is 9.575. if i collect interest on 2/1/02 my cost is 3.575 and i have a better chance of collecting 100 8/1/09 or sooner. my price is 11. my interest if i get it is 12/year for 8 years. i feel like a loanshark, mafia (no offense Salvatore), an idiot.
if the stock gets cut in half every month, it will never go to zero.
