Thank you Yaacov for clearing up the "semites are cousins" business. Semitic is a language group, not a racial group, or an ethnic group. Many types of peoples have spoken, or currently speak, semitic languages. Are they related? Sure, about as much as the English and the Germans are related. It's meaningless.
On a similar point, the policies of Israel favoring Jews are not "racist" as Judaism is not a race. Anyone who plays the racism card is either a) a Palestinian propagandist and/or b) a person who has never been to the middle east.
Go to Israel and what will you see? Jews ranging from the black Ethiopians to the pale Polish Jews to the dark brown Jews of Calcutta and Yemen.
Go to Egypt and what do you see? Arabs who are pale, blue-eyed Caucasians and Arabs who are as black as the late Anwar Sadat, essentially descendents of black African tribesmen living in Egypt for milennia.
Each of these nations are home to many so-called races--there is no Arab "race" or Jewish "race"; the whole concept is absurd.
Of course, some object to a "jewish state." There are many religious states. Most begin with the words, "The Islamic Republic of...." This seems to draw no objections from anyone. |
