BLUE HP visits another denizen of Hell that's having a particularly trying stay therein: Curon (CURN)

Having looked over (or listened to) the referenced links, I'm thinking these guys will make it. Not right away, but they'll make it. The stock has been hammered because of a minor recall, adverse events likely associated with physicians not adhering to patient inclusion/exclusion criteria, lack of available peer-reviewed long term follow-up data, reimbursers who didn't initially understand the procedure, etc. All of these issues have been addressed. The sales shortfalls resulting therefrom and the future outlook are amply dissected by management and analysts on the conference call. Judge for yourself if the outlook is satisfactory relative to price.

Bottom line is that these folks aren't burning much cash. They probably won't be profitable next year, but ought to be cash flow positive then, and the later quarters of '02 profitable. Upside from Europe, and maybe from faster than anticipated approval/reimbursement of second product (not counting on that). The price is close to cash. Only one insider has sold since March unlock, and at higher prices.

I think it's bottomed. Could be a munch candidate, too.

Unless dissuaded, BLUE HP will take a little flyer on it next week. Comments?

Cheers, Tuck
