I got uneasy feeling reading it, because my [VERY conventional] wisdom of money creation just does not seem to hold anymore. There was a comment by someone up the thread, that started with "I have no idea how money's made, but...", which I found absolutely astounding. Seems the guy (as opposed to me) knew what he was talking about.
All this of course revives (again) the "who-done-it" question for 1929 - as a instigation for CoBlue to broach the subject (- no, please, no, thank you, I said NO, honestly, I mean..;).
