They keep bringing up 1929 because they want to scare the shit out of people because they sell mutual funds for bears and otherwise make money off of scaring the shit out of people. It's the way they make their living.

It's a nice little industry, hasn't been a real money maker up until recently, though, but now everyone is listening to them because they were among the few to say that the market couldn't go up forever.

Just because they were right about that doesn't make them right about anything else.
