Mutual funds.. personally I think they are a passing fad, and they will be a poor alternative to your own active involvement in your investments. With only a 2 or 3 times a week check, you can do infinitely better trading your own portfolio, with only a modicum of work. Mutual funds are dead but I do intend to pick up some more fidelity Health Care and biotechs.. for about 3% of my portfolio, but of course my time frame for holding is about 4 to 6 weeks.
