hi bob

re, "I just ran Norton Disk Doctor and it found numerous Windows Updates that were corrupted. I didn't think to write down the rest until too late but it said something about the date being wrong etc"

first of all, i bet you're talking about windoctor, and not disk doctor. am i right? so many doctors to keep straight, eh?

here's a suggestion....

open nu again, and this time, instead of beginning the diagnosis, uncheck 'perform all tests', and check 'view repair history'.

this should take you back to what you just encountered. if you wish, you can designate how long nu saves your repair history by clicking

view/options/repair history

mine was set for 7 days but i just reset it to 'forever'. there's a potential for this log to grow quite large, but monitoring it from time to time will help guard against that. and if need be, under 'problem' (on the upper taskbar menu), there's a 'clear repair history' selection.

maybe finding these recent repairs will help us further identify what you are asking about.

hope this helps

:)
