Would any of those here who are either Christians or death penalty opponents care to support the following? No. Would you? That's a really strange statement to make. Leaving McVeigh's judgment to God is not the same thing as embracing him. To embrace him, well, that's a bit much. McVeigh's being at peace doesn't mean that he's right with God. He's at peace because he has been true to his own twisted drummer. If McVeigh gets to go to heaven, there's something quite pointless about the whole heaven/hell construct. God sets a very low standard if "moving towards him is all that's required." Sounds to me like a pretty silly thing to say from a pulpit. Karen
