Ish, A uniform code is being worked on so that on-site power is not fed into dead lines. Most quality installations already have that feature. The controllers read the 60 hz cycle from the lines to synthesize a sine wave from batteries and other devices and if there is no sine wave on the power lines, no juice is sent to them.
