Re: Airport.

Airport has been available on the Mac for about 1 year. It's cheap ($99 per card and $299 for a base station) and fast and nowhere to be found on the PC. Why not? Everyone is working on Bluetooth which is highly inferior. I'm sure something capable will come to the PC eventually but am pretty certain it won't be easy to use.

Re: DVD.

We'll see how long it takes the PC to catch up in DVD. I bet it takes two years to get what Apple has today.

Re: OS X

Read all about it here:

www.apple.com/macosx

It's worth a look at Steve Jobs Macworld Expo Keynote in January to see a sampling of what the Mac can do. This has OS X stuff, DVD, Mac vs PC performance and other things. It's 1.5 hours long so you may only want to watch some highlights. If you do nothing else, watch the OS X stuff is at the beginning, and the DVD stuff at about 1:10:00 into it.

This can be found here:

About USB. My HP USB deskjet never did work with Win 98. I couldn't get it to install. So much for USB being there. Maybe it was the hardware. It was on an IBM Aptiva that came out before Win 98. It wasn't the printer, because the printer always worked fine with the Mac. And by the way, it worked fine with Win98 under Virtual PC on the Mac. But that uses a different USB driver than what's in Win 98. Go figure.
