I have three kids, all FAPP grown ups - the youngest, the daughter is finishing in Cambridge this week.

The single, greatest sad thing I can't correct anymore, is not spending more time with them. For example I was away one complete year on a post-doc back in the seventies. Borders on crime, but oth the kids themselves say, they would not have seen the world, were it not for that year. They speak at least three languages, can handle all kinds of strange people and situations and have something called emotioal intelligence.

Now.. why see the world?... A: to know how warm your home is. So... is it not great to be alive?

"Oh, Canada..." - sounds crappy, but I miss it. One early summer I'll rent a car somewhere on Bloor St and drive all the way to Vancouver. Or make it Calgory to Vancouver (g).
