Yes, I looked at the numbers. And I also looked at the trend over the last two years for A/R and A/P relative to revenues for both AMD & Intel. And I agree that if A/R grows more rapidly than revenues then it could reflect problems with customers paying.

And since Intel and AMD both actually had the same ratio of A/R to revenue at the end of 1Q01 (and both ratios were within the narrow range of those from the last tow years) I don't think there is reason to be concerned about either company's customers at this point.

But, what does it mean if a company's A/P increases relative to revenues? Say for the last five quarters in a row as at Intel? Having a high ratio of payables to revenues overall is nice since it means you get to use the product before paying for it (good cash management). But there is a limit.
