Yeah, it's a regular kinda brokerage. They provide no other services, so to actually trade, you need a real-time charting service.
I've also ordered Windows on Wall Street. The idea here is to get a setup that is workable in real time and is as cheap as possible. Once I do that, I'll have some good info for anybody else that isn't interested in paying $50 a round trip. I'm not sure I'll have to uninstall RealTick, which I might. I have more than one box, so not a problem.
I'm skeptical, but I've never tried WOW either, and want to see how "interactive" their charts actually are.
Obviously the key here is execution. If IB can actually execute a trade with a minimum time lag, it might be a good way to go. Also, as we all know, brokerages can sometimes screw up their statements. <G>
Minimum order is 100 shares, so a buck a trade is pretty safe unless I average down three times in a row. |
