During a six month global consultancy engagement, Scient partnered with BP to design, build and launch BP's new brand on-line against demanding deadlines.
The new site, www.bp.com, further innovates on BP's previous award winning website and is the new on-line representation of BP's brand.
It acts as the first point of contact with the BP Group's customers and those of its sub-brands Amoco, ARCO, and Burmah Castrol, helping guide customers, investors, and the public to the company resources best suited to their energy and information needs. A simpler brand architecture and a new company-wide style guide, devised by Scient's award-winning customer experience team, helps to unite over 160 global business sites and bring BP's brand values to life, using real BP projects as illustrations.
A spokesperson for BP's Global Gateway team said: ``This project marks an important milestone in the global re-branding program of BP. Scient helped us think through and then bring to life our on-line vision of BP's brand. In particular Scient helped match BP's strategic objectives with a new 'look and feel' for bp.com. In order to fully express BP's brand values, Scient helped the internal BP team to commission and art-direct new photography shoots in UK, USA, Spain, Australia and Africa, resulting in a fully-fledged image library of some 400 brand new images, which will act as a new corporate resource.
