That's an interesting thought! One could argue that radio, itself, did not turn out the way (or as fast as) it was envisioned, but morphed into greater things, including television.

Are you arguing the timeline, or the realization?

Or are you implying that we are on the eve of a depression?

The thing that worries me, in addition to RobS' astute comment about capitalization, is whether the market really wants all this promised connectivity, and how close we already are to saturation.

Will the wireless (non-telephony) business be selling refrigerators to Eskimos? And if we are approaching saturation, how likely are we to achieve economies of scale on pricing, that permit connectivity where the income is $2/day?

Questioning the assumptions, I am.
