Hi Terrence,
Having become a veteran here at SI, I recognize the pattern of our interaction. Two adamantly held, opposed viewpoints, wherein neither party to the debate will willing give an inch, or submit their views to re-consideration. At least that is how it will appear to the readers of our conversation.
However, I'm very much in the camp of John Maynard Keynes, who when asked by an interlocutor why he'd changed his mind on one subject or another wryly responded, "Sir, when the facts are unclear, I keep an open mind, and you?"
I've read nothing in your last few posts to indicate any grasp of reality on your part. Polemics, and clap-trap conservative, nay, reactionary rhetoric I sense very largely. But as far as anything remotely useful to me, alas, it isn't happening.
I'm changing my mind on interacting with you. It is with the deepest regrets that (before I utterly piss you off and have you fulminating, fuming and flaming,) I've placed you on permanent ignore. There is absolutely nothing I can learn from you. You might consider this observation - your mind is closed.
Good Bye, Sir, and Good Luck |
