Whether there is a large body of law in support of treating corporations as people or not is irrelevant. The only issue that the people should decide on is whether or not continued grant of such rights to the corporations is in the best interest of the society. My grandfather may have had many ideas that seemed logical to him while he was alive, that does not obligate me to fallow on his footsteps if I think those ideas do not hold anymore. Sun Tzu PS yes, I am not holding my breath for the change, but that does not mean it cannot or should not happen.
