JLA, as you know in the US it is required for employers to make reasonable accommodations for employees to practice their religion as long as it doesn't interfere with the workplace. Devout Muslims pray towards Mecca 6 times a day, kneeling on a prayer rug. And a number of firms make rooms available for them - and for Christians, too.

It's not any different than letting Christians take Sunday off, let Jews take Friday off and wear Yarmulkes, etc.

I handled a case for a Mormon who worked for the Post Office and wanted to take Sunday off. The Postal Service was very intransigent, but once I filed suit and the Justice Department got involved, we were able to work it out.
