3:42PM QUALCOMM (QCOM) 59.85 -1.39: CNET is running a lead story noting that Verizon (VZ) might transition from CDMA to wCDMA for its 3G networks due to pressure from its European partner Vodafone (VOD); this is not new news -- talk of this potential switch has been around for months; the NY Times ran a similar story on Mar 29.
