You were looking at the wrong place - Q1 2001 earnings instead of Q4 2000 earnings. I said in an earlier post:

"The somewhat more easier way is to check AMD Q4 2000 earnings (released January of this year) conference call and find out what Jerry says about AMD's capacity. "

And, in case if you still can't find that, here is the answer: 8 million units. Note that this is production (i.e., excluding boatload of inventory that AMD had accumulated by that point.)
