GM Schedules Second of Two News Conferences

To Make Important Fuel Cell Announcements

Who: Larry Burns, General Motors Vice President, Research & Development
and Planning.

What: Announcing an important development relating to fuel cell-powered
vehicles.

When: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 13.

Where: Salon G at the J.W. Marriott Hotel, 1331 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W.,
Washington, D.C.
Burns and Byron McCormick, Co-Director of the GM Global Alternative
Propulsion Center, will be available for individual interviews after the news
conference.

Also: Following the news conference, Dennis Minano, GM Vice President,
Environment and Energy & Chief Environmental Officer, will address the 12th
Annual Energy Efficiency Forum in the Grand Ball Room of the National Press
Club adjacent to the J.W. Marriott. Minano's speech, which will refer to the
two fuel cell announcements, is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. Vice President Dick
Cheney also is a featured speaker at the forum. Minano also will be available
for individual interviews after the news conference, and his speech will be
available at www.gmability.com .

NOTE: This is the second of two major announcements this week involving
GM fuel cell technology. The first announcement was scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday, June 12, in Warren, Michigan. The earlier announcement will be
recapped at this event.
