My guess is that T may pop before its final demise. Ideally, that would involve a short term long followed by a short. Of course, this is much easier said than done

Sounds like you are ready to learn and start using some T/A skills to compliment your obvious fundamental talents. When used together, there can be a huge synergy for the position trader.
