Re: "why HP, others haven't gone with Strong Arm. " HP DID design in a StrongARM CPU in one of their Jornada PDAs - about 1 or 2 years ago. It sold for about $1000 - and was a poor choice, since cheap notebooks were selling for that price. I believe HP switched to Hitachi processors for their cheaper Jornadas.
